Bournemouth, (1-0-3) played host to Brighton, (1-2-1) and they played to a nil-nil draw. Bournemouth record now improves to 1-1-3 as they pick up one point. Brighton now has 6 Points and they sit a 1-3-1. Brighton had a chance to win this game. Bournemouth’s Forward, Joshua King, was sent off with a Red Card in the 26th minute and while Brighton out-shot Bournemouth, 5-2, they could not score. Brighton had four shots on goal but Asmir Begovic thwarted all four.

Crystal Palace dominated the first half of play. Seven of their eight shots in the game came in the first half. Their first goal came early. At the 3’ mark Andros Townsend took a Dirct kick, (from B, and beat Fraser Forster for a 1-nil Crystal Palace lead. It was Townsend’s first goal of the season.
The first hal of the second half was a defensive tussle, but, Southampton went to an aggressive formation at the 57’ mark and slowly they began to dominate, even though Crystal tried a more defensive posture at about 71’. The agreesive formation pad off for Southampton at the 79’ mark when Nathan Redmond beat Wayne Hennessy to tie the game at 1-1. It was Redmond’s second goal of the season and it came with an assist by Dusan Tadic, his second assist of the season.
Southampton still does not have a loss as they sit 3-0-2. Crystal Palace still is winless at 0-4-1; they have played to a draw in their last four matches.

Huddersfield came into this match with a 1-0-3 record and were looking forward to their second win of the season. Leicester City had one draw and three losses, so, the chaps were looking for their first win.
Leicester started fast when, at 3’, Riyad Mahrez, scored a goal on a Free Kick, (from C). It was his first goal of the season. Leicester then hung tough and had the prize in sight when, at the 77’ mark, Steve Mounie beat Kasper Schmeichel with the game tying goal. Huddersfield had a chance at victory. As extra time wound down, (90+3), Rajiv van La Parra, missed a shot, from B), as the ball soared over the net. It would have been his 4th goal of the season.

Burnley, (0-3-1), still looking for their first three point of the season, invaded Anfield Stadium to challenge a favored Liverpool, (1-1-2). Surprisingly to the Liverpool team, and the mostly 54,074 Liverpool fans, Burnley defeated Liverpool, 1 - Nil. The only score of the match came early, in the 10th minute, when Johann Gudmundsson, beat Liverpool Goalie, Loris Karius, with an assist from Matt Lowton. It was Icelandic’s second goal of the season.
Liverpool almost pulled out a tie last in the second half. In the final three minute they had shots, but, each one was just missed, all three going over the net.
Coming into today’s match Burnley had tied their last three matches.

Newcastle United, (2-2-1), picked up three points with a 2-1 victory over Stoke City, (03-1). Newcastle’s first goal came after a steal. Jamaal Lascelles score at 29’ with an assist from Ayoze Perez. It was Lascelles first goal of the season and the second assist for Perez.
At the 63’ Christian buried a Free, (Direct) Kick from “B” for a 2 - Nil Newcastle lead.
Stoke City struggled on Defense most of the game; they did finally manage a score at 78’ “Eric-Maxim” Choupo-Moting beat Martin Dubravka with an assist from Mame Diouf. It was Choup-Moting’s second goal of the season and Diouf’s first assist.
Dubravaka was making his his start of the season. He turned away two of the thre three Stoke City Shots on Goal for the victory.
The win was a bit costly for Newcastle Dwight Gayle went down with an injury early, at the 2’ mark. He is expected to miss at least one game.
Stoke City is still winless this season.

ManchesterCity was supoosed to win this match, but, Watford played tougher than expected and the game ended in a scoreless draw. Watford played Manchester City even in the first half. Manchester City switched to an aggressive offense in the 2nd half. It resulted in several shots on goal but in each case the Watford Goalie, Heurelho Gomes turned away all five second half shots.
Manchester did pick up a point for the tie and sits even with Southampton atop the Tables with 11 points.

This match was pretty close all the way through until very late in the second half. Then, West Bromwich scored two goals within 5 minutes to pull away to a 3-1 win over West Ham.
Jose Rondon put West Bromwich on top, 1-nil at the 28’ mark with an assist fromJonny Evans. (It was Rondon’s second goal of the season and also the second assist of the easond for Evans). West Ham finally broke the ice with a goal at the 56’ byManuel Lanzini. The Argentinian scored his goal on a Free Kick after a foul by Rondon.
The match remained 1-1 until Grzegorz Krychowiak found the net at 87’ on a Corner Kick. It was his first goal of the season. Five minutes later Jay Rodriguez scored his 5th goal in 5 matches with a big assist from late replacement Allen-Romeo Nyom.

90,000 Totenham fans were stunned into silence as Swansea, an underdog, defeated Tottenham, 1-Nil. The game’s only score came in the first minute of play when Luciano Narsingh stuck a shot, (from E), that beat a surprised Tottenham Goalee, Paulo Gazzaniga.
Totenham kept pressing the first half but Swansea, who started the game with an Aggressive Offensive formation, would not bend.Swansea Goalee, Lukasz Fabianski turned away three goals, total, two in the first half.
Swansea swiched to a Defensive posture right at the beginning of the second half. Tottenham went to an Aggressive Offense formation at 61’ mark, but, as in the first half, Swansea would not break.
Swansea is sitting with 8 Points, three behid co-leaders Manchester City and Southampton.

This was as entertaining a game as I’ve played all season. Chelsea dominated at times, but, periodically Arsenal would make a strong runs. It was scoreless, however, until Willian hammered his 4th goal of the season at the 84’ mark. It came off a Free Kick.
Arsenal tried to rally, getting two shots, one on goal, in the final 1.5 minutes of the game but Thibaut Courtois was up to the task.
The win moves Chelsea into first place with 12 Points here is Week 5.

Showing signs of life ater starting the season with two straight losses. Man U had their bet match to date as they easily defeated and over-matched Everton squad. Jesse Lingard and Romelu Lukaku, along with Paul Pogba devastated Everton.
Lukaku scored the first goal of the match at 26 off a Corner Kick from Pogba. At the 40’ Lingard did the same, again off a Corner Kick from Pogba. Lingard then scored his 2nd goal of the game, and 2nd goal of the season, to cap the scoring at 3 - Nil.

Week Six starts with a game of two relatively even team with identical 2-1-2 records. The story of the this game takes place in the first nine munutes of the match. Marko Arnautovic scored a goal at the 5’ mark. He deked the Tottenham Goalkeeper and dribbled one past a diving Tottenham Midfielder, Christian Erikson, that slowly rolled across the line for a 1-0 West Ham lead.
At 9’ Dele Alli was fouled in the Box and a Penalty Kick ensued. Alli beat Adrain and tied the game at 1-1. It was his first goal of the season.
Tottenham had a golden chance when Cheikhou Kouyate was Red Carded. Still, Tottenham could not score and the match ended in a 1-1 tie.

Burnely, (2-3-1) defeated Huddersfield, (1-1-4), 1-Nil, at Kirklees Stadium for their second consecutive win and their first home win of the season. Chris Wood scored a goal at the 25’ with an assist from Johann Gudmundsson.
Burnley dominated the Loose Balls. Huddersfield had a hard tie getting the ball to their “scorers” as Brunley’s defense had very few lapses in the game.
Burnley now has 9 points.
